Tip - H2O

On average we only drink 1% of the potable water piped into our homes. Most of the rest is used to wash things like clothes, cars, ourselves and our homes. Of the waste water leaving our homes, around 80% is 'greywater' and can be easily recycled.

You can save around 100,000 litres of fresh water each year by installing;

  • a water efficient shower head
  • a dual flush toilet
  • a front-loading water-efficient washing machine

By installing a water efficient shower head alone you can save 10% off your water bill each year! And with the rebates on offer from most State Governments, the numbers really stack up.
